Quick help, without sending a family photo.
Most issues are solved below. If you still need help, email support@safelittlefaces.com with your iPhone model, iOS version, the number of photos selected, and the step where it happened.
A face was missed
Open Touch Up and select Hide, then paint over the missed face. Profiles, small faces, reflections, low light, and partial occlusion can be harder for face detection.
Too much of the photo is covered
Use Restore to paint back part of the image, or use Undo to step back. You can also return to Faces and change which detected faces are selected.
A photo will not save
The app needs add-only Photos permission to save a new protected copy. Open iPhone Settings, find the app, and allow photo additions. Your original is never changed.
I already subscribed or bought lifetime access
Update to version 1.0.4 or later. All existing and new users have full access without an in-app purchase. If you subscribed to an earlier version, review that subscription separately in Apple Account settings.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. The current app does not require a subscription. If you still have a subscription from an earlier version, check its status and cancel it through Apple if you no longer want it.
Does the app remove location?
Yes. The app creates a newly encoded file without copying source GPS, capture date, camera, lens, device, or similar identifying metadata.
How do I hide a license plate or a name?
Open Touch Up, choose Hide, and brush over it. Zoom in with Pan for small text. Plates and text are not detected automatically.
Can I send you the photo?
Please start with a written description and a screenshot of the app interface with private photo content removed or covered. Do not email family photos unless specifically requested and you are comfortable doing so.
Review the entire image, not only detected faces. Clothing, signs, documents, school names, house numbers, reflections, and distinctive locations can still reveal personal information.
